Restaurant bewertenAs someone who travels frequently for work, this hotel was a refreshing break from my usual corporate stays. The staff are incredibly friendly, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable - I couldn't ask for more! I had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, and both meals were excellent. Well done, team!
The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing, the service is brilliant, and the music sets the perfect Scottish mood. It's a lovely spot for families, couples, or friends to gather. Eddie's beautifully presented dishes melted in our mouths - the best food I've had in the 5 months I've been in Glasgow. Fergus provided excellent service, making us feel welcome and ensuring we were well taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Glasgow for a positive experience that will have you eager to return.
I usually have strong opinions about the places I visit, but this time I'm unsure. The restaurant is small, accommodating over 40 guests, but struggles with large numbers. The food quality and quantity were below my expectations, barely reaching an "adequate" level. The soup was unrecognizable in both taste and appearance, and came in a meager portion. The main dish was small and lacked quality. An additional inconvenience is that hotel check-in is also in the restaurant, with access to the 8 rooms through the restaurant, which can be inconvenient with large luggage. The restaurant is not disability-friendly, with stairs leading from the street to the sidewalk, then up to the restaurant, and potentially more stairs to the bedrooms. Would I return? Probably not, as there are better options nearby.
This was probably one of our favorite meals of our trip to Scotland (and we had a lot of good ones! . I got to try cullen skink and it was delicious! The server gave some excellent advice to my 10-year-old daughter in ordering the kids version of the mac and cheese by saying that she has seen grown men not be able to finish the adult version. (The kids portion was much more reasonable, cheaper and still delicious. And although my 14-year-old was disappointed that they were out of the veggie burger, the kitchen was able to pan-fry some salmon (not prepared that way on the menu , which came out great. My wife loved her veggie haggis. All in all, a great lunch! (And nice to hear the bagpipes faintly next door.
Very disappointing and not what I remembered. Ordered meatballs in tomato sauce with rösti potatoes. The meatballs were solid, unseasoned, had not been cooked in the sauce and were lukewarm. The sauce was a tin of chopped tomatoes which had ben warmed and that's it. The rösti potatoes weren't-they were mini potato croquettes. And to top it all off it took 40 minutes to drive and cost £17.
