Chippy Doon The Lane - Glasgow City

The service was excellent, but the kitchen made a mistake. My partner is a vegetarian who eats fish, so I called ahead to ask if their roast was suitable for vegetarians. The initial answer was yes, but when I asked for confirmation via email, I discovered that the dish also contained meat. In today's world, with various dietary restrictions, restaurant staff should be more knowledgeable and upfront about their ingredients. Unfortunately, I had to leave without eating.

First class fish. I actually doubled on the track and then a very embarrassing looking staircase high and was pleasantly surprised. the area is beautifully decorated when a bit dark and the kitchen area can be seen through the large servierluke. I had the fish tea deal consisting of a huge thick filet of creamy white barley and a mountain of perfectly boiled chips. at just £6:75 including brot and butter and a hot drink it was excellent value for money. it is a busy place and deserves.

Do not look for great fish chips! Delicious food, served in a quirky way. Fish is very fresh, cooked to order the chips are spot on.
