Restaurant bewertenBest pakora in glasgow best sweetsepakora in glasgow kebabs and other items also good bifteki has served glassgow punters for years and has the test of time.
I love this place, it's about a five for a 10 pizza for yourself and the guy is always really pleasant and reminds me that I'm vegan. the curry sauce on pizza is suitable for vegans and is so delicious on a pizza; they must try it before they release it! I ordered a bundle of pizzas for a vegan event that I held a few months ago and he was really willing to pick up with me on the best times for the collection based on how busy the shop could be and how much capacity he had in his many. I would also recommend the gemüsepakora.
Had the veg pakora for 2.5£, which was good. good opportunity to have a small snack in the city
This is my totally original review of Bifteki House of my doner Kebab! If theres any likeness to any other review I have made about a Doner Kebab from another place in Glasgow it is purely because the doner kebabs are very similar. If I...was to have a doner Kebab from one place and then at another place and both DOner Kebabs in my opinion were the same and needed the same improvements then I will write exactly that which is a honest review, if I was to write two different reviews about a doner kebab which tasted exactly like another doner kebab review I wrote then one of those reviews would not be honest. This review is a totally honest and genuine review of Bifteki House! This place is very well situated near Glasgow central station so easy to get to. I will start with the good things: The staff are some of the nicest people I have met and they have a wide range of foods available. I am a big Doner Kebab fan and have been very disappointed by the doner kebabs in Glasgow. So I was hoping for the best but the first things I noticed were that there was no big pot of freshly cooking chilli sauce which was not a good sign and there were no bowls of seperate salad, again not a good sign. The Doner Kebab itself was missing alot of salads, it only had I think lettuce, onion, tomato...so missing lots of salad and the salad was all in the same bowl and I dont think it was pickled so salad had no real flavour to it. The chilli sauce as most other places in Glasgow was more like pakora sauce in its taste and consistency, it tasted like tomato ketchup watered down with maybe sugar added to it and some spices. The same pretty much everywhere else in Glasgow. . My advice for this Kebab shop and for all other kebab shops in and around Glasgow would be for the chilli sauce to be changed and for it to no longer be sweet but for it to be chilli based ie the way it should be made is with a good Mutti pizza sauce or fresh tomatoes, or tin chopped tomatoes, chopped fresh green chillis, with fresh garlic, fresh onion, a little thick, suitable spices, a little heat then blended together and made fresh every day. Chilli Sauce is an important part of a Kebab! I dont know if they use Tomato Ketchup and/or sugar but neither Tomato Ketchup or sugar should ever be used when making Kebab chilli sauce and kebab chilli sauce should never be sweet. Now I would say that maybe this Kebab shop or I guess any Glasgow Kebab shop could still keep this sweet sauce but call it maybe Sweet chilli sauce and then alongside it have the proper chilli sauce so customer have the choice of either or both My other suggestion is to have what other Doner Kebab shops have in Edinburgh/England/Wales which is to have separate bowls for each type of Salad so basically a big bowl of cucumber, big bowl of Pickled red cabbage, big bowl of pickled white cabbage, big bowl of tomatoes, big bowl of lettuce, big bowl of onion, big bowl of cucumber, bowl of lemon. Then to ask the customer what salad would they like? do thwy want all the Salad or just some of it and the customer says which of the Salad they would like. This would be good for the customer as it offers more variety and good for the Kebab shop as it would increase sales and good for the regular customers as they can still get the same as they have always done but they just have the option of more I am really hoping the owner will read this and make these changes as theres so much potential for this kebab shop due to its friendly staff and its location!
