Restaurant bewertenDecided to go for Sunday breakfast/lunch today - we drove to Miners Village Restaurant - got there 1015 signs said opened at 11am - so we waited - at 11am parking lot was empty we went to door and it was locked - girl came and said sorry expecting a large group so you can't come in - she didn't say closed for private party (which if it was it should have had sign on the door) - this is not the first time we were turned away - another night we tried to go for supper arrived around 730 and was told sorry closing soon can't come in - so confirm they aren't busy or near closing before you go or they wouldn't let you in - I know I wouldn't be driving to Miners Village Restaurant again but if you want a nice breakfast, good prices and friendly staff go to Mikes's Lunch a few streets over
The location of this restaurant, decor and food, all are reminders of the history of this town and surrounding area. While visiting here with a friend we met older friends and family here for lunch. Both times it was crowded and we had a short wait because we did not have reservations.. However, the pleasant staff soon found us a table. We actually ate here on two different occasions and enjoyed our meal each time. The senior's portions are adequate, ( the first time it was fish and chips) but we chose the full special the second time, ( turkey dinner) and it the servings were generous.
The restaurant was busy with a number of locals. The atmosphere is nice and the food is good. It is well worth it.
We had dinner here between our mine tour and the Men of the Deeps concert. Everything we had was excellent and the service was friendly and professional. The place is small so be sure to make a reservation.
This restaurant is located at the Miners Museum and serves up a varied selection of food. The ambiance was great and our waitress was excellent. We ate the roast turkey dinner, roast beef dinner and salmon, which was outstanding.
