Restaurant bewertenMy husband and I decided to check out their AZ Restaurant Week menu, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The French Onion Soup was rich and flavorful, while the risotto was perfectly creamy without being overly soft—I could have easily devoured an entire pot! The pork steak and the salmon with spinach Wellington were both cooked to perfection, tender and juicy just the way we like them. We also sampled their escargot from the regular menu, and it was absolutely heavenly—one bite and we were hooked! Our waiter, Vincent, was not only friendly but also provided us with excellent insights about the dishes and the restaurant. Pro tip: Be sure to join their Facebook group to stay updated on their weekly specials. We're already excitedly planning our next visit!
For my first course, I ordered the French onion soup with cheese toast, which ended up being the worst I’ve had. There were hardly any onions in it, and they weren't caramelized at all. The soup base was disappointingly light. On the bright side, the cheese toast that accompanied it was quite good, with perfectly toasted bread and a generous layer of melted cheese. Next, I tried the salmon and spinach wellington. Unfortunately, the salmon lacked flavor, and the spinach seemed like an afterthought—just added directly to the salmon without any sautéing or seasoning to enhance the dish. While the lemon hollandaise was intended to bring a zesty kick, it fell flat and did nothing to elevate the blandness of the dish. The puff pastry around the salmon and spinach was beautifully baked, leading me to believe this dish could be a winner, but I was mistaken. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate soufflé, which was more akin to what many places would call a lava cake. It definitely wasn’t a true soufflé. The structure was all wrong; however, it was tasty with a gooey center surrounded by chocolate cake. The service was friendly, but not very attentive. They forgot to bring utensils, including napkins, to our table, and frequently took away utensils from one course without providing new ones for the next. I noticed that all the tables around us seemed to be ordering drinks and appetizers, with no one else selecting items from the Arizona Restaurant Week menu. Their appetizer options looked appealing and may have been a better choice!
The prices are too high for what you get. We were drawn in by their appealing menu, but unfortunately, the kitchen fell short due to a lack of skilled staff. The waitresses and the manager were exceptionally friendly, but it was evident that they were quite inexperienced. Even though it was just a Tuesday, the main issue was that the chefs were unable to prepare the dishes properly. A burnt soufflé is certainly not something you want to see.
Unfortunately, the kitchen and the front service are not well connected. Not worth any of the ’s we spent.
Fantastic experience and great food. Servers were knowledgeable and friendly.
