Restaurant bewertenIt was our 1st visit to this restaurant. Saw it on Open Table and thought we'd give it a try. Atmosphere was good, and our server was great. She was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. She gave us some recommendations and we took them. The food was ok. Just not what i was expecting from a family run establishment. The eggplant parm was mushy and lacked flavor (similar to a frozen product). My chicken marsala lacked any flavor of marsala wine and was pounded thin so that it was crispy and overcooked instead of tender and juicy. Our caprese appetizer was the highlight of the meal. I gave it 4 stars because of the service. I might return when in town to try the pizza or just a pasta dish.
The restaurant was having a bad night. They had no idea we‘s made a reservation “oh, we haven’t been checking Open Table” meaning we had to wait 45 minutes for a table. They must’ve been very short staffed because our food took forever to come out and my beef Milanese was initially raw in the middle. Our server tried to explain that this was just an off night for them, but they still charged us full price for everything and nothing there was good enough for me to go back in ever try it again
Nice atmosphere, great pizza, and cheerful waitress.
I ordered the kalbsal and it tasted like she was sitting a man in the refrigerator. it didn't taste like it was freshly roasted or fresh for this occasion. the garlic bread was good as the immersing red sauce. my man has pasta and he enjoyed it.
Overall it was a good experience. the food was good. the restaurant was busy due to the Christmas festival.
