Shanghai Express - Georgetown

The interior could use some updating, but the food was exceptional. Our server was friendly and attentive. It may sound amusing, but I highly recommend the Pu-Pu platter sampler; the presentation, complete with a fire in the center, was impressive. This is a great spot in Georgetown for Chinese dining, whether you choose to eat in or take out.

Sarah was extremely polite and friendly, and her sister Stephanie is too, although she was not there today. The soup was fantastic—hot and flavorful—that I had to go back for another serving! My pregnant wife has been craving it for a while, and after finally trying it, I really loved it!

I have a lot to share about this restaurant. First of all, the General Tso's chicken was incredible. The beef lo mein was also delicious, tasting incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. The egg rolls truly lived up to the hype—amazing! We also ordered chicken fried rice, and it came in a huge portion, which was fantastic and so flavorful. Plus, the lunch prices are very wallet-friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or just passing through.

We absolutely love this place! The egg rolls are truly the best; I've lived in Japan, so I can say that with confidence. Everything we've ordered has been excellent. Although we've moved to Lampasas now, we always make a point to stop by for a meal whenever we're in Georgetown. It never disappoints!

I had a great experience with the Pu Pu platter and the sesame chicken. This is definitely the best Chinese restaurant we've been to so far. Once we find a place we like, we stick to it, and this has become our go-to Chinese spot!
