Restaurant bewertenMy first Chinese fried rice in Guyana after 10 years and I was disappointed. Rice is very sweet. Chicken flavor was not what I remembered and expected. Food is not worth $1200.
Terrible experience here today. Ordered egg rolls, soup, and several main dishes to include Chinese spare ribs. After waiting approximately an hour after ordering, all of the food came out together. The manager spent all of her time verbally berating the cooks and wait staff. The egg rolls came out as an omelette, chicken rolled up in a fried egg. The spare ribs came out fried (hard) and not edible. We called the waitress over and explained that this wasn't an egg roll, nor where the ribs edible and she was non respondent. The manager insisted that since we ordered the food that we would pay for it. After asking for to go boxes and paying the check, we realized they charged an extra $100 Guyanese per to go box and shorted us our change. Needless to say, this place is under terrible management and I would never done here again.
After asking for takeout boxes and settling the bill, we discovered that they charged us an extra 100 Guyanese dollars for each box and also shortchanged us on our change. Clearly, this place is poorly managed, and I would never consider dining here again.
There's a boat restaurant just across the street from where I live, making it a super convenient spot for food. My favorite dish is the boat fried rice; it combines a variety of flavors into a delicious meal. While there are other places in the city that are better suited for a more formal dining experience, I definitely recommend trying the fried rice here!
I had my first Chinese fried rice in Guyana after a decade, and I was quite disappointed. The rice was overly sweet, and the chicken didn't taste like I remembered or expected. Honestly, the food isn't worth the $1200 price tag.
