Restaurant bewertenIn a quiet street, near the historic opposite of penang, coya offers a very decent eating in a clean and comfortable air-conditioned environment. the menu includes many nyonya classics, so is a good way to get familiar with the local kitchen. they also do fruit and vegetables, which can be adapted if they want. the prices are comparatively high for penang, but the ambiente is above average also (the lighting can be off but it is too brightly lit.) they do not claim to use strange ingredients that we are not totally convinced, but if it is true that they do not use gmo soy meat, msg or commercial sauces, then that is surely a good thing. in any case, it is still one of the better options in penang and is certainly worth visiting.
Nice and cozy environment. Healthy cooking style but still very tasty. They serve rice/noodles dishes and also other ala carte dishes to go with rice. Price is moderate. However, food serving can be a little slow at times.
Many new dishes with their home made curry and sauce, very tasty and delicious, wont feel salty and thirsty as assume they did not put any additional MSG. i will definitely come again to taste their other dishes. yum yum
Tried a few dishes, rendang, pumpkin, their xianchun tofu. Very nice!
They offer a great selection of meals we hadn't seen at other places, the curries we ordered were quite tasty, but not the tastiest we've had in penang. It's moderately inexpensive, the meals seem quite cheap, but smaller portions than we have had elsewhere. It's very clean and looks newly renovated. To me it seemed to lack character. Overall I wasn't disappointed with the experience, but have experienced better.
