Restaurant bewertenI visited this place twice and found food is excellent, specially Bengali dishes, Fish preparations are awesome.
This is a little place to eat bengali good near to Paltan Bazar in Solapara Path ( opposite to Hotel Rains Inn) It offers typical bengali dishes which is very poor in taste. They used cheap ingredients and cooked very casually. Horrible is the rice used for the thali we chose. Felt robbed after eating at this joint. Cleanliness is a big question. I did not know why I ended up being here. Good thing is the wall decals which will bring some smile on your face in this rather somber place.
This restaurant was right opposite my hotel but I didn't go there until late in my stay. Mistake! This is the sort of restaurant that is heavily patronised by locals suggesting good food and good value and the answer is yes on both counts. The name is subtitled with "Ethnic Bengali Restaurant" so the offerings are heavy on fish but there are also lots of other choices. Many of the local patrons were having talis of various types. I had a really good mutton curry but it was a hard choice because many menu items sounded so good and all the dishes going past looked appealing. The restaurant was one of the few eating places outside of the local hotels that seemed to be open late in the evening. The space is clean and modern and the service is efficient. Hunt this one out for lunch or dinner if you are staying in Paltan Bazar .
The food at O Maa Go was very good. The taste of the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable.
This quaint restaurant was located diagonally opposite to my hotel and I had my dinner here on 5 nights out of the 6 nights that I was in Guwahati. The food quality was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I took 2 of my local office managers to dinner at this restaurant and they were of the opinion that this was one of the better Bengali restaurants in town.
