Restaurant bewertenWe recently dined at Saving Nemo at the Firestation in Sunderland over the Easter Bank Holiday. Both of us ordered the Tofish with chips and curry sauce. The portions were generous and the food was excellent! It was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. We then enjoyed a Big Country gig, making it a perfect night out.
I first discovered Saving Nemo at the Sunderland vegan festival, and I am so happy to have found this amazing stall offering a variety of delicious options that you would normally find at a traditional fish and chip shop, but without any cruelty. The service was a bit slow, but understandable given the busy event. I have tried the tofish, chips, and tartar sauce, all of which were excellent. The prices are reasonable compared to non-vegan fish and chips. The food is so good that I have added it to my list of favorites and can't wait to try it again.
Three of us visited this restaurant on a vegan festival Saturday. I ordered the vegan sausage for £6.00 and found it to be very small and lacking in flavor. The chips that came with it were undercooked. My companions who ordered the fish also found it to be undercooked and lacking in taste, as it was not wrapped in nori. Their chips were also raw. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food and service. We did not have to wait long for our food, but we would have preferred to wait longer for a properly cooked meal. After this experience, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
I tried the fish and chips at the Newcastle Vegan Market. The fish, chips, and tartar sauce were all delicious. The portions were also generous, all for just £10.
We recently visited the Save Nemo Vegan Market in Newcastle on 23/04/22 and we were not disappointed at all! It was definitely one of the best vegan fish and chips dishes we have ever tried. The tartar sauce was amazing and the cajun prawns were top-notch. The vegan fish, chips, and battered sausages were also very flavorful. We can't wait to visit this food truck again next time!
