La Casa De Juli - Gastonia

This is not just a place for empanadas. They do have probably 10+ kinds of empanadas...fruit filled, chicken, meat filled. They have awesome main dishes like arroz con pollo (chicken with yellow rice), bowls with your choice of yellow or white rice, plus a protein, your choice of maduros (fried sweet plaintains) or fresh avocado. Some days they have specials like a bowl of choice with an empanada and a drink. Im a Cuban transplant from Miami and we cook many of the same dishes, so this place is one of my top go to places for a hearty Mediterranian type meal. One take-out meal is enough for two meals for me (gastric bypass patient). You can eat inside or outdoor. The family that owns Juli 's are very friendly and willing to help you make selections of what to eat if you need help and they speak English very well. They also cater foods for events. Juli 's is centrally located on Union Rd going north, just passed Dollar General and Arbys. They do deliver via one of the delivery services. You will need to check with them which one. Amazing empanadas!! Amazing juice I got passion fruit and the best it’s homemade. 10/10 I definitely recommended everyone to try them.

Great empanada. Ordered the sampler to try them all. Favorites were the bean, beef and chicken. Looking forward to trying other dishes. One suggestion, offer baked in addition to fried empanadas.
