Restaurant bewertenNOTE: My bad I didn't get any photos so, snipped a few from the Locos website! Recently made a trip down from Mocksville NC to do a kayak paddle on the Black River. (Check out Three Sister's Swamp cool Looked up Mexican restaurants on Yelp in the general area and found several, one of which (Donã Mary) was shown to be outside of itty-bitty Garland NC at an isolated crossroad location. Garland was my last chance to get a meal before I ventured down to check in for my campsite at Henry's Landing (also a good place However, heading thru town to the address listed in Yelp for for Doña Mary, I came across Locos Mexican Grill right in downtown Garland and thought I would give the unknown (i.e., not in Yelp). Locos is clean, colorful, bright simple, just like a good local Mexican food place should be. It was late afternoon so I was the only customer until I was leaving and a group of Hispanic workers showed up (local area is blueberry central of NC). I have a favorite meal of mine which is a burrito with chicken and steak plus grilled veggies inside plus cheese sauce, avocado and pico de gallo on top. Rice and beans on the side not IN the burrito. Ordered that as a modification of what was on the menu and got a wonderful burrito to my exact specs with great flavor, high-quality meat and REALLY good. As usual with the burrito specials, it was large! After I left Locos I did find the Dona Mary restaurant as ID'd on yelp, but it was not near as good looking on the outside and was isolated from town. Bottom line for Locos excellent service, good varied menu, high-quality beef and chicken, excellent flavor, and meal was delivered exactly as I ordered it with my little changes. Overall, can't find anything wrong with the place and would recommend it based on my single visit. I will be returning in October for more paddle camping on a long weekend and plan on going there a second time. If I get back for another meal, I will post an update.
I ordered the kids' meal and the adult meal, both resembled a slingshot and were filled with the best ingredients. I do not recommend anyone to eat here as it is too expensive.
The restaurant offers a variety of delicious Mexican dishes as well as other great options on the menu. I especially enjoy the steak and shrimp plate.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, and it is a must-visit if you are in the area. The service is prompt and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I have been back every week since my first visit. I highly recommend it for a dinner dining experience. The service, food, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.
This restaurant offers dinner service with a price range of $20 to $30 per person. The food is rated a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4.
