Da Rib And Chicken Shack - Gardendale

I tried to like this place several times, but the food was dry and way over priced in my opinion. I think It's actually shut down now.

I normally love the food here but yesterday they served old chicken and I didnt realize it right away and now I'm literally in the bathroom puking my brains out and having the worst case of diarrhea ever. If yall cant serve fresh meat every day then dont open because yall are risking peoples lives. Please dont try to say it was fresh made because it wasnt 100%. I feel sorry for anyone who got the chicken yesterday.

Amazing staff and great food.... Now just need the secret recipe.

I was wondering why there were so many cars wrapped around the restaurant? So, I made a U turn and went in... BOY AM I GLAD I DID! These folks have taken a what appears to be a defunct McDonalds and turned it into a wonderful BBQ restaurant. Staff is very courteous and polite. Food is magnificent. I am not a big fan of Fried Okra, but it was OUTSTANDING! They were crunchy but nor greasy. The ribs were very tender and well cooked and the potato salad was to die for. The seating area was well separated and everyone that I saw was masked up. I know many folks don't go to Gardendale for the heck of it... but this place sure does warrant a trip! No offense intended to Gardendale, AL. I think it's beautiful and the people are lovely. This is a must try restaurant. Enjoy. Best. CMF sends...
