Restaurant bewertenHuge and tasty selection of cheese, helpful staff and some of the best I ever had. highly recommended
A load I like to find in every city! friendly and helpful staff and a lot of very good cheese. have many of them tried and never disappointed. stylton, extra ripe gouda and cashel blue here are the best of this cheese I have ever tried. there are also many other items, including meat, weeping and cookies that go well with cheese.
Comprehensive selection of local Irish and international cheeses if they really need to have something imported) . friendly attentive staff, one must be for anyone who wants to explore/experience the fast-growing Irish craft cheese sector.
Visited to buy a cheese board selection for friends coming on holiday, luckily the shop was quiet, spent over half an hour in cheesy discussion with a hugely knowledgeable, extremely helpful, interested and interesting young man behind the counter. He made great recommendations and was also keen to get our feedback on samples as we made our selections. The whole process felt like a treat, I came home and immediately recommended a visit to a cheese loving friend.
After having tried a selection of Irish cheeses from a variety of grocery stores over a few weeks it was time to consider the packing for the trip home. Since Canada allows us to bring 20kg of cheese back home without questions we went in search of a serious cheese shop. We found Sheridans. We also found a staff member who was very happy and enthusiastic about cheese. What we wanted was three cheeses that could survive a day without proper refrigeration packed in our luggage. We were offered a Gubbeen that we were assured would not notice the travel, a Kylemore that might sweat a bit and a Durrus Og that would not be quite Og when it arrived. We also got a Cnoc Dubh that we were assured would not survive the trip. It didn't. In fact it barely survived the walk home. Turns out it is rather nice on an oat cracker. All three cheeses survived the trip. The Durrus Og was a little dented but the Writer's Tears were in return nicely cushioned. It being a cool April I think the Kylemore did not sweat too much and the Gubbeen arrived as it left. (Although the Bram Brack had a Gubbeen shaped dent in it Looking forward to a return trip since if Cnoc will not come to me I will have to travel to the Cnoc.
