Restaurant bewertenSpent the weekend at the Tremont House and was very impressed by the friendly staff. Brooklyn and Ryan made us feel welcomed and accommodated. Our room was absolutely beautiful! Very comfortable, conversation art, happy that it had a refrigerator and coffee bar. We had a great time down at the bar on ...seriously great mixologist at the bar. Fantastic location for kicking around and shopping. I can't wait to visit again. Unfortunately my room was next to the elevator...and it was like a freight train all night long, fortunately using a little white noise helped. I'll know better next time.
We booked one night for $450 for a 2 queen bed suit and sofa bed based on the beautiful photos for August 9th. When we got there we were told they oversold the rooms and did not have room in the main hotel for us. They moved us across the street into another building where we were given a one bedroom apartment type room with 1 king bed and sofa bed. The room was super cheap smelled bad and the bathroom door wouldn't even close. Even though this was the hotels screw up we were offered no discount just a bunch of I'm sorries. We understand it's not fair and vouchers for breakfast. We felt like we were in 2 star motel nothing g like what the hotel is supposed to be like. Such a scam! Will never trust to book with them again.
Guest services were friendly and amazing the hotel rooms were luxurious and welcoming. The front lounge with bar and breakfast area were quaint and well stocked. Really wish that the upstairs bar was open during our visit and looking forward to come again once it is open.
My husband and I stay in the Tremont hotel loft. our room number was 5201. on the 4th and 5th May. It was a loft for six people. I was extremely disappointed with service. It took an average of 4 call first night simply to have extra pillows, duvet and towels. We had two little kids needing to sleep. It was close to 9.40 Pm after 4 calls before we had our sheets. The next day I had to call repeatedly for house keeping and towels. They did not apologize by accidentally cancelling our room. The housekeeping staff left all the dirty towels and sheet on the floor on the second day. This extremely poor service considering the cost for two night and valet services. The hospitality staffs need more training plus the call center who never followed up with our constant request.
It was a beautiful atmosphere. The valet was prompt and so kind. I am very particular about the cleanliness of hotel rooms. Not one surface was left unattended to, scrubbed, or vacuumed. You could still see the vacuum lines in the beautiful rug. The downstairs hotel bar staff was very friendly and kind. I ordered the Eggs Benny for breakfast, and it was on point. If you're looking for a hotel in Galveston that is set apart and doesn't feel like a convention center or party hotel, I highly recommend the Tremont. We can't wait until they finish the rooftop bar this year. The projection images look amazing.
