Restaurant bewertenObsessed with their $1 bread sticks and it goes really well with coffee after my morning market shop. I've had their mocha a couple of times now and every single time it has been sickly sweet so it isn't the best compared to other mochas in the area but also isn't the worst either. Takeaway is best as there is limited seating available.
I guess what drew me to this place was my craving for a sausage roll... and also the fact this place drew a decent crowd of hungry patrons waiting for bread and pastries to takeaway. I've sampled their sausage roll and a pepper steak pie... which both was actually above average. The sausage roll was almost as good as any you'd find on Sydney's top sausage roll list. It doesn't have any fancy schmancy ingredients but it's just executed so well. Everything just melts in your mouth and the sausage roll is always piping hot. The pie was decent. The pastry was a bit soggy but can be forgiven as the flavours were quite nice. The customer service is quite prompt despite there not being any proper order or line when ordering. I love this little nook of shops tucked away from plain sight. It's nice to just sneak there during my lunch breaks for a quick snack... or two...
Super nice sour dough rye. Excellent service given the mountain of people who are waiting in line. The places seems to be packed every time I go there. The baguettes are very good. Great coffee and very nice staff. Highly recommended.
This place is probably the best cafe in CanberraSaying that, I haven't been to all the cafés in Canberra so I could be wrong.
Great coffee and service. Beautiful cakes and slices all on display. Breakfast served on mini platters with fruit "shots". Would definitely come back.
