Hennen's - Ft Oglethorpe

I've read a few reviews that stated the restaurant has gone downhill, and I'm sad to say that I have to agree. I was in town a year ago, and I was extremely pleased, so when I was back in town this year, I was happy to be back. First, the website is gone, and the menu on the FB page is outdated. But on to the meal. The crab cakes were delicious, but the chopped salad was tired and listless. I ordered a ribeye with the maître d' butter. It came out without the butter. I mentioned it, and they brought out the butter, this after the steak rested. I mentioned that it wouldn't melt, but I was told it would. It didn't. I pointed this out to my server, and she took the steak back. It was returned with the butter melted, but now the steak was overcooked and dry. I am sure that they used the previous steak and put the entire thing under the salamander. My friend was already done with his entrée, so I didn't say anything. I wish I had, though. The steak was a waste of money.

My husband and I went here on Saturday evening and it was incredible! Our server Greg was knowledgeable and professional. My husband ordered the Delmonico ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the honey mustard grilled beef shortribs and they were delicious. All the staff were kind and friendly.

A Chatanooga gem. Had dinner with friends from nearby. Blown away bt the food and seevice. Had scallops that were excellent. Others had crab cakes and raved about them.

We had a fabulous meal , our server Dana was delightful. She was attentive and extremely helpful. Little things like checking if we would like a salad after the appetiser. The aperitif cocktails were lovely Blondie and a Wine cocktail topped with red peppercorns , the tuna tataki was perfectly presented and cooked and both the salmon and mahi mahi were delicious. I would highly recommend

We are new to town and had a friend to come in from out of state. The restaurant was close to her hotel so Hennen's was the choice. We are so glad to we came here. The food and service was amazing. We will back again.
