Mike's Famous Chicken - Fruita

THIS! Is the place to go for food in Fruita. Ok. To be fair this is the only place I have eaten in Fruita but compared to other chicken places this place is something special. The chicken is battered just before it is cooked. It is piping hot 18 Mins later when it hits the table. Be careful it's hot, seriously. The breading is awesome and unique.Don't think it's just chicken. The owner is from one of the Carolinas and knows how to make BBQ. Try it.They also do Ice Cream Sundays. We loved it.Sorry , only one picture. Not of the chicken either. My mistake. I wasn't expecting to review this local place so I didn't take the pictures before eating.

Awesome family operated business! You can tell these people take pride in their work. Great food and great attitudes! We will definitely be back for more. We got too full the first time to order ice cream! Looking forward to our next visit!

Really delicious pulled pork! Friendly staff and did I mention the coleslaw? Better than my own at home.

My first time tonight after hearing about it on f/b. It was every thing I heard about..so good n my first time experiencing fresh warm croutons on salad n nice sized beets. You can tell n taste the love,honor n pride they put into there food Definitely will make the drive back. Thank you guys Cat n Chris . Clifton

This place is very delicious. It’s worth the money I went for the first time with my lady tonight u. had to leave me out in the wheelbarrow.
