Restaurant bewertenThe perfect place for tea where you can wear your hat and gloves with your grandma and aunties...The best sandwiches on the best bread....Awesome atmosphere and great service.
One would assume they would be given the option to choose a tea of their choice or even be offered more than one tea! I really don 't understand how this was supposed to be acceptable for a tea room. Food was mediocre- nothing stood out as tasty and flavorful. Dessert included a basic sugar cookie (really!? , petite fours and a chocolate mousse cup... all tasted like they came out of a store bought package. Oh let 's not forget the fancy alcoholic and non-alcohol sparkling drinks that were being poured from plastic jugs like they were fountain drinks.... Where is their class?!? Definitely an underwhelming experience. Staff was nice and that 's the only compliment I can give this place.
Lovely place for afternoon tea. However, parking was quite a challenge. Reservations were required and our seating was as scheduled. Service was prompt if you rang the bell at the table. The tea chosen was excellent. The two pieces of each tea sandwich a smoked salmon with cream cheese scantily dressed as was the cucumber cream cheese was so thinly sliced and a fig cream cheese were scantily dressed with their fillings as well. Other items served were one mini sized piece of cake each and a mini macaroon for each at the table. We paid $35 per person and left with lots to be desired aside from being hungry not a good value for the price paid.
My first time here was actually for a baby shower! The food was pretty good! I wasn't really a fan of the cucumber or chicken salad sandwiches but the pinwheels, and mushroom/cheese were delicious!! They only have fruity teas which we weren't expecting, but they were still pretty good. The service was great. We enjoyed our waitress and the other staff were nice. The only thing is that the layout of the room made it hard for our party to mingle and talk to each other. They connected like 3 tables together to make one long table so the mom-to-be had a hard time talking to us all as she had to constantly turn from one side to the other to try and face/address everyone. Also made it hard to hear people on the other end of the table.
Over priced and service was ehhhh This is not tea in the traditional sense. Menu misleading. Should be more sandwiches less of the other stuff. Tea cold. Had to ask for cream. Sugar in packets. Tea room needs a much needed update. Also no crust should appear on the bread. Won't be going back nor recommending.... Very expensive for what we got. Save your money and have tea at The Palace in SF. They did have a nice display of dishes.
