Restaurant bewertenEmployees were very nice and welcoming! The Korean tacos were very different to normal tacos, but in a tasty refreshing way!
Some seriously delicious Korean fried chicken to be had here. The crispyness of the skin and the juicyness of the meat is almost unreal. Definitely want to check it out. The tacos with bulgogi were pretty perfect as well and so was the sesame tofu salad. The fries and potstickers were also really good.
Bonchon is amazing! The wings are crispy and delicious (go ahead and get them in soy garlic sauce). The sesame ginger salad is a great side to the wings; it comes with a scrumptious sweet dressing. The price is a little higher than you might expect for wings, but the taste is unique enough to be worth it.
Medium (mixed 10 piece wings 5pc drums) pickled radish $28.95 TTEOKBOKKI 12.95 Bulgogi House Fried Rice 13.95 Bulgogi Korean Tacos 12.95 Total... about $75 for dinner with 3. I came here on a thursday evening.. about 7pm. To my surprise, there was only another group sitting in the restaurant. It's pretty small. Maybe it seats about 40 50 people. We ordered the above. I've never tried tteokbokki.. but I'd seen it on alot of Korean Dramas I've been watching on netflix. So I thought I'd give it a try. The fried chicken is beautiful. It tastes good to great. The spicy was abit too much for me (I guess on a scale of 1 mild and 10 hottest).. it's probably a 4. I'm weaksauce when it comes to hotness! Skin was crispy and tasty. I really liked the garlic sauce more. Again.. chicken was tasty and moist. This includes both wings and drumsticks.. they were moist. (I'd had issues going to buffalo wild wings.. and even Von's where the wings were DRY). Bonchon delivered on moistness. Oh yea!... as for the Fried Rice and Tacos. I liked the tacos. I'd try it a gain... sweet and tasty. As for the fried rice... it was not bad. Maybe for me.. (I like it salty).. it was a little bland and not as flavorful as I was expecting it. Services was really good (probably because there was only my group and another family). By the time it was 8pm.. it got crowded and was maybe at 50% capacity. Finally the tteokbokki. I thought it was interesting. Alas, I think I'm not a fish cake person.. the first ones were interesting.. but then after eating more and more.. I could pass. Price is abit pricey, but it's a nice fusion type of place where I can get korean food as well as korean fried chicken. Again.. I would try the place again: 1. didn't get to try the seasoned fries 2. didn't get to try the glass noodles I also like that they have their menu readily available online through their website. They also have a family meal.. at the window of their restaurant I re
Absolutely loved my first visit to Bonchon Fountain Valley! My bf and I were craving Korean fried chicken and happened to find Bonchon on Yelp. They're not too far from where we live and happen to be right across from the mile square park we visit often so we were familiar with the area. We ended up stopping by on a Friday evening to have dinner, upon arriving a gentleman greeted us right away and let us choose where we preferred to sit in the restaurant. He came by with their menus and got our drink orders right away. He also told us that when we were ready to order they have a call button located at the tables so they'd know to come by our table. It's a nice convenience to have so you don't feel pressured. Customer service was great! The gentleman waiting on us was very friendly and attentive. Whenever we pressed the call button he would come over right away. He was always quick to get something if needed also. They have such a big selection on their menu, it's hard to choose just a few items to try! I already knew coming here that it would take a few visits to try everything that looked good. But for our first visit we got the following: Pork Buns, Small Half Half Boneless Wings and the Bulgogi House Fried Rice! honestly I enjoyed almost everything. The only thing I will mention is that the wings were a bit dry and needed more sauce on them. Pork buns were probably my favorite out of everything. The pork was so juicy and delicious. The fried rice was also a nice pairing with the chicken. It was packed with flavor too. Overall I think my next visit I might try the bone-in wings. Maybe the boneless just isn't what they're known for. They also have a bunch of other items I look forward to getting in the future. I will definitely be back!
