Restaurant bewertenWhile we were in the area searching for a butcher shop and feeling a little hungry, we decided to stop by this place. It's more of a cafe than a restaurant, but the food is made fresh. Overall, the food was pretty good, although I did find the salmon to be quite fatty. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go back, but I hope to remedy that when I am next in Brisbane.
We love coming to this restaurant for their freshly made sushi rolls. Our top picks are the rainbow sushi (made with tuna, salmon, and white fish) and the salmon avocado roll. Occasionally, they also have moreton bug rolls available. The fish is perfectly marinated, the rice is seasoned perfectly, and you can really taste the freshness of the seafood. Some people might say that fresh fish shouldn't have a fishy smell, but in this case, the fish tastes exactly like it should - like fish. This is a sign of well-made sushi with delicious umami flavors.
This informal eatery in the James Street food precinct serves fresh, tasty, and delicious Asian (mainly Japanese) food with a focus on seafood. The menu includes freshly made sushi, made-to-order sushi, prawn rice paper rolls with wakame, vermicelli, and greens served with a sweet chilli sauce, and a variety of other freshly made dishes like tempura prawns and wagyu beef. The food is of good quality but does come at a higher price. Additionally, The Fresh Fish Co also sells fresh seafood for customers to take home and prepare.
I've had different sushi there but my favourite is the aburi salmon sushi with avo. The salmon always tastes fresh and seared just right.
Freshly made by a great bunch of friendly staff. The Sushi is really good and at a very reasonable price. The salmon, tuna and kingfish sushi is really good.
