Zeke's Fish N Chips - Fort Worth

Not at all what like it has been. After driving home order was not correct. Asked for a refund on what was missing. Was told no. Come back and pick them up. Fries were old and cold as well. I’m going to miss what Zekes used to be. Never going back.

As we walked in and surveyed the inside of this restaurant, it looked similar to some old European pubs, so we decided to dine in after ordering at the counter. Prices are reasonable enough.They serve okra, corn nuggets and fried pickles, but i decided to try my favorite Fish Chips, and an Eggplant sandwich for my son.The order was fast enough to compete with drive thru restaurants. The food was delivered to our table by a very pleasant, and friendly waitress named Kerry.The fish was thinly battered and cooked just right. It was really crispy and the cod fish inside was flaky and delicious. The fries also did not have that oily taste. If i closed my eyes while eating this fish and chips soaked in malt vinegar, it would not be hard to imagine and feel that i was in a London restaurant.The eggplant sandwich that must have been battered with spices before deep frying it, was at another level. I never tasted anything like it before and i will for sure order it again.We were not full after eating, but well satisfied.

Fish was great! Both the cod and catfish.Fries were just ok. If I go back I'll try okra instead. Hushpuppies terrible. Should take em.off the menu.Tarter sauce seems to contain mustard and its overpowering but cocktail sauce was great.Dining area waitress lovely attitudeTheir soda machine needs recalibration. The drinks don't taste like what they labeled to be. Can't even desrcribe the taste of the Dr pepper.Bathroom disgusting ! BF walked in and immediately turned back around. said he'd hold it lol

There is an overpowering chemical cleaner smell, I ordered the fish and shrimp, it tasted like the oil was old, I couldn’t eat the catfish, it was sliding out of the fried battering and very slimy, the French fries were not freshly done nor were they warm. The tables were dirty and the overall experience was disappointing to say the least. Don’t eat here.

The food has been consistently great for 40 years that I have patronized this place. Very casual seating, small space, but there's an outdoor seating area. Wait staff always friendly, fast an accommodating. You can't miss on anything on the menu. I highly recommend the fried cod and shrimp. Always perfection, even the tarter sauce is house made and special. Adds a great flavor to the cod. Love this place and my entire family and friends we've turned on to this place love it and probably go as often as I do.
