Raintree Bakery Coffeehouse

Had a meeting at McKinley high school and needed breakfast first and found this spot. The service is impeccable, the coffee great, and the cheesecake delish. So good we came back at lunch for some mimosas and more cheesecake :

Randomly wandered by this place exhausted and stressed while my mom was in surgery at Straub. Decided to comfort eat. Ordered the latte. They do Italian style espresso served at drinkable temp, not scalding. EXCELLENT espresso. Absolutely top tier. Not a hint of bitterness or acidity. Prosciutto di Parma breakfast is beautifully salty and savory, eggs are light and fluffy, everything was very good but the star of the show is the handmade macadamia nut pesto. Mac nuts are perfectly toasted. Probably the best pesto I’ve ever had. Finally, I had the lilikoi cheesecake which was spectacular. This isn’t a cheap grab and go coffee shop, this is a high quality stuff. A little pricey, but so is everything in Hawaii but it’s well worth it. The owner is really friendly. Nice bluesy/jazzy music. This place is great. Definitely worth a visit.

I love this little local coffee shop with Homebased bakery, hand crafted drinks by the owner who is always up to a chat. Very personal and hard to find these days

A lovely place. The serving gentleman is absolutely delightful. Knowledgeable of food and tastes, and quite skilled in reading our needs. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, which is a pleasant change from daily life. Cheesecake is rich and flavorful and the tuscan turkey sandwich, panini style, is delicious. Highly recommend.

A lovely cup of coffee, you can tell the owners take such care in the drinks they make. Homemade heavy whipping cream topped my Americano, it was a smooth and delicious cup. We ordered the chocolate cheesecake as well, I wish I had taken a picture before it was all gone. The cheesecake was decadent and smooth, the flavors absolutely phenomenal. The owners are lovely as well! Just sad that I found this cafe on our last day in Hawai’i.
