Isola Riva - Forster

Very disappointing in the reviews I would read. we wanted to make a special start and the photos showed "upmarket dining", which it wasn't. the service was not very good at all, with our waiter forget everything we have ordered. apologetic, but forget. we had slender buttons that were creepy to share, and when we were asked for more serviettes, we were only delivered some of the nearby table. they do not serve a coffee and said: “care, but the caffe next door closed!” that eating was not at all what we expected and we would not return.

I was really impressed by eating, it was all delicious, large portion size and well balanced aromen. also enjoyed the view from the surf club, so a beautiful little place. but my head was the waitress who gave my 82-year-old nan no chair on which we sat while waiting for our table. our booking was unfortunately on high bar stools where my nan can't sit, so we were more than happy to wait for a table. but the denial of a seat was crazy, she led my grandmother out in the iron wind. we finally got a chair and I don't think it's a reflexion of the restaurant, but I'm wondering about the customer service level of this kind of facilities.

After a recommendation from a local we headed to Isola for a treat night/date night. Great location on the water with indoor and outdoor seating. Relaxed staff add to the easy dining and steady stream of plates implied we may have got carried away with ordering. Excellent food with the beef and butterflied prawns as highlights.

Great food and service and an amazing spot for lunch or dinner.$14 for some fries is a bit excessive though!
