Ray's Southern Foods - Forest Park

My husband and I tried the special of oxtails served over rice, along with mac and cheese (both), fried corn (for me), and fried cabbage (for him), and everything was absolutely delicious! I also had the banana pudding for dessert, which was just wonderful. It's not often that you find a place where you genuinely enjoy everything you order, and we ended up taking some home because the portions were generous! The staff was friendly, and Ray was particularly helpful in preparing the orders. This was our first visit, and we can’t wait to return for more!

Ray's Southern Food catered my daughter's wedding, and I couldn't be more pleased. The food was absolutely incredible, and the chef was delightful to work with. If you want things done right, Ray's is the place to call. Specializing in Southern cuisine, I've never seen so many people rave about the string beans before! The chicken was served hot and crispy, and the macaroni was perfectly cheesy, leaving everyone satisfied. It's hard to keep everyone happy, but with Ray's, it was effortless. There wasn't a single bite wasted, and once people tasted the food, they all wanted more! The apple and peach cobbler was a huge hit with our guests—we had to hold ourselves back from devouring the leftovers! I haven't had the chance to eat at Ray's Southern Foods yet since I live in Ohio, but I've enjoyed plenty of Ray's cooking before. He's truly one of the best!

Mr.Ray and his team are AWESOME! He buried my wedding and the bride and smoked chicken is to die!! He puts his everything in the food he does and takes care of his customers. I can honestly say if you did not try the BRISKET you did not have life!!!!!
