Restaurant bewertenThis was my first time. The food is OKAY... the food is not super tasty I've had better vegan food, maybe it was in particular to what I ordered, but I am not too sure. The restaurant itself is very comforting when you walk in. The food was pricy. I got one scoop of 3 things and it totaled to 26$. The portion wasn't that big for that price Overall it was okay. I would still recommend it!
This vegan spot in Miami has been on my radar for some time. Walking in, I was immediately taken by the charming decor and the cozy, deli-style vibe. The variety at the hot bar and dessert section was overwhelming in the best way. We settled on the carrot lox bagel and the rise and shine breakfast bowl for our meal, both of which were SO good. I initially thought the rise and shine bowl would include rice, but it was still delicious without it.A slight downside was the service. The staff, though very friendly, were a bit slow in taking our orders, which was unexpected for a deli. Also, they forgot to charge us for dining in, so we had to call back to pay and re-enter our order. We were one of the only customers there besides one other couple. The staff seemed busy loading a catering truck, which might explain the oversight.I need to come again to try the dessert!
Pros: Cute space. Free parking. All vegan. There is a counter with prepared foods that you pay for by the pound. Entrees are $16.95/lb and sides are $10.95/lb. Cons: Food was practically room temperature and bland. I'd go again but just have salad items.
An All plant based deli is a dream come true. The food can be weighed out for you and charged by weight à la Whole Foods hot food bar style or you can choose from the combination options they've listed on a menu. I went for the kale shiitake fried rice, mushroom makhani (I'm guessing it was inspired by the Northern Asian Indian dish and may have tasted significantly different from traditional makhani), and mushroom risotto. The makhani was simply a chunky mushroom stew. Those were just 3 random things I picked out of their hot food bar in a to go box to be weighed out. It was so indulgent, I finished my portion there and ordered a Burrito empanada. I didn't expect a burrito flavor inspired empanada to have curried mushrooms in it so I was confused as to what I was given but it was enjoyable to the last bite. The complexity in flavor and texture was very impressive with everything I tried in regards to hot food. Had to try some sweets too. Got their matcha donut and carrot cake. The carrot cake had an interesting half baked/crumbly texture that was unique. Remember, they're not using all the standard ingredients we'd put in a carrot cake perhaps, so the texture stood out. I'd say carrot cake here is a good choice and I'd repeat that. Their matcha pastry was rather different. It tasted like a chilled, no bake, superfoods raw dessert that had had matcha powder mixed in to give it the matcha touch. I prefer a more decadent take on anything matcha so this dessert was a bit too restrained for my liking. They offer a nice selection of healthy beverages in a refrigerator near the door: fresh squeezed juices, herbal chilled teas, and more. I picked up a chamomile and Ashwagandha infused herbal chilled tea. I realized later it had monk fruit sweetener (which I'm not a fan of) and it was noticeable to where I couldn't appreciate the other ingredients in the tea because the producer made the monk fruit so. On the other hand, I did love the Yerba mate sparkling herbal tonic. That's also one I'd try in the other flavors they offer. I'm so thankful this small business has persevered. It's such an amazing option to have. I also hope many more come to support the vision of The Plantisserie. It felt like one of those spots where the bill can add up quick but I wasn't being moderate at all because I was just visiting and had to try the most I could in one visit. I'd say this place, Live, Love Café along with Planta are musts when visiting or living in Miami.
I'm so happy I found such a reliable place to getSuch healthy and delicious vegan food. The homemade flavors and the nice people that you meet there make it a wonderful place to enjoy food.Don't miss it!
