Restaurant La Garenne

Myself and my brother were passing through the area and decided to call the restaurant/bar for a quiet drink after a meal. The owner was very friendly when we called to see if they were open and (what we assumed was a joke) said we could buy anything we want without prompting which included cocaine, ecstasy etc… we thought that’s an odd way to say they’re open but decided to try it anyway. Upon arrival at the front door we could clearly see open consumption of drugs at the bar and multiple people smoking indoors. We decided to avoid this so called bar/restaurant but if the consumption of illicit substances is up your street I’m sure the owner would be more than welcome to indulge you. Not surprisingly with their attitude to drugs, no covid protocols were being followed and if the French authorities are serious about stopping the spread of the disease I’m sure shutting down this establishment would help.

We spent a very lazy afternoon hanging around the pool and returned in the evening to experience an amazing personally cooked gourmet meal. This is a family restaurant which certainly knows how to cook. Our one observation is that this is a very leisurely meal due to each course being cooked at the time so allow plenty of time!

Consume a good lunch of noon during the working week without moderation. The setting is pleasant, the reception is both efficient and pleasant. Good traditional day dishes with correct products, a nice buffet of admissions and desserts (e.g., gourmet coffee type)To advise all workers.
