Restaurant bewertenThe food was delicious I ordered the lunch pollo asado and the Mango Margarita.
Four hungry people converged on Agave Mexican Restaurant, after a week-long mountain-biking adventure in Moab, Utah. As we are from San Diego, California, we are well versed in what authentic Mexican fare should taste like. This place filled the bill. We all enjoyed the ambiance, and the waiter, Tyler, was very attentive, bringing extra sauces. The food was delicious. We'd definitely love to return if we ever find ourselves in the neighborhood again. Perhaps a Flagstaff mountain bike vacay is next on the menu?
I've been in the restaurant business for over 50 years (operations and teaching). This is one of the few Mexican restaurants in Flagstaff that could survive in San Antonio, Texas--my home town. Authentic taste, beautiful presentation, generous portions. Ask for a little extra sauce on the enchilada dinners and you will have an amazing meal--I like sauce. The only reason we go to a couple other Mexican restaurants (El Tapitio being one) once in a while is for variety.
Great best Mexican food in Flagstaff! Yummy enchiladas and fajitas and dessert! Also delicious Jamaica and horchata was a welcome surprise to get, which is a rare find some Mexican restaurants serve it like here and most others don't. It is located next to a motel which might confuse some (double business opportunity i guess) but you can tell they really put effort into the interior Mexican design and the authentic food so seems like any good Mexican place once u step in.
Unique, special place where nothing is exactly as it seems. Even the simplest dishes have a subtle twist. The piki bread and hummus appetizer was paper-thin, crispy bread (doesn't seem the right word) and a hummus-like mixture of corn, beans, and seeds. It was one of the best appetizers I've ever had. And it was light so it didn't fill us up too much before the meal. Dinner was the Wild-Wild and the shrimp pasta. I can't say enough about either one but they were both exceptional. The chile tamale was in another world. And the made-to-order peach cobbler with a pecan crumble dessert was perfect for sharing. The pecan crumble was new to me and was perfect with the peaches.
