Lunch specials are crazy delicious!!! Great spot right off 64 to grab a good bite to eat!!

Great local market/sandwich shop. Their Crab Cakes are to die for no question about there being CRAB in the crabcake.

I actually turned off to go to Cracker Barrel, but I turned left instead of right and there were not any restaurants along the way. Fortunately, Google showed Fisherville Lunch Box, and I stopped in to grab a quick bite before I continued my road trip.The Fisherville Lunch Box is in a house on the corner with outdoor seating on the porch and a table inside. I got an excellent freshly made Reuben sandwich. The sauerkraut was mild and not tart, and the corned beef was a good amount without being salty. There were several sandwiches to choose from.There are some farm fresh vegetable, preserves and sauces, and Virginia wines such as fruit (raspberry, peach, blackberry) and traditional wines. I got two bottles of Bluestone Vineyards Chardonnay 2021, barrel fermented. It is a delicious Chardonnay, crisp, buttery, smooth, with a light fruit taste, but no strong after taste. My husband gives it 4 out of 5 stars which puts it up in the category of our favorite Russian River chardonnays. I wish I had gotten several more bottles, but I had no idea how it was going to taste.The Fishersville Lunch Box had a clean bathroom through the sheriff's office swinging doors which I greatly appreciated after driving 250 miles. If I am on Interstate 64 again, I would definitely stop again at Fishersville Lunch Box for a bite to eat and some more wine. On Highway 250, going back towards I-64, there was a gas station before the exit for I-64.

Great options for seafood on Fridays. Local produce available. Nice selection of deli and sandwiches for lunch. Local wine selection available. Friendly and prompt service.

Little known fact: the Lunch Box sells fresh seafood. We picked up some outstanding walleye at far less per pound and far closer to home than our previous source offered. We're anxious to try the Friday fish fry.
