Restaurant bewertenCan't believe I have just discovered Tramsheds, what a cool little hub. Was a great place for brunch and picking up some produce afterwards. Butcher and the Farmer is open and airy, served the biggest mugs of coffee and was one of the quieter places in the Sheds. Highlights: lovely ambience, good/solid cafe brunch options. Lowlights: service could be a little bit more attentive.
The Butcher and the Farmer is a restaurant with two locations in Meadowbank, Forest Lodge at the Tramshed, and coming soon to Green Square. Their philosophy is highly quality locally sourced produce and seasonal ingredients, prepared with love and care. The menu is designed to be shared, so friends and family can come and try a bit of everything.
I came here with my bestie Maya and we had the best brunch ever. We ordered the broccoli, pork belly and duck breast and all of them are superb! Strongly recommend the duck breast which suits my Chinese stomach as well.
This place is interesting cause it has a tram inside which has been converted to a dining area as well. However if you do not manage to get the tram seating, you should know that the outside seating space is much larger. So everyone could sit comfortably here. I had my lamb salad for my brunch. I like the sauce inside which perfectly neutralized the oily lamb and vegetables. The lamb was also amazing, with a soft taste and matched the feta cheese well.
While travelling in Sydney... we were delighted to be filled with some good old-fashioned meat and veg/salad/chips options. Be it the steak, chicken or seafood, the protein was handled with care and love. The place was spacious and large and great for groups and families. Service was prompt. Prices fair and servings generous. The kids meals were sensational too!
