I had great hopes for my visit to Circa 1800, but my experience here was mixed. The service was wonderful, but the food wasn't so much. I expected...
I'll say I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Brunch a few weekends ago. I was here years ago and didn't remember me impressed. So...
This fried green tomato sandwich sets the standard by which all others shall be judged! Two slices of THICK CUT pork belly, and two THICK CUT slices of green tomato, plus two THICK CUT slices of deliciously grilled white bread one amazing sandwich. Docking one star because our server asked what I wanted 3 times after I said I was waiting on someone, only to be unavailable for 10min after my guest arrived. I’m sure she was just on break, so don’t read too much into it.
Overall a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. Sunday brunch was good with a great atmosphere for a family outing. Get there early, they have a line forming before they open, or else be prepared to wait a little while. Inside and outside seating with street view. I ordered the brunch tacos which sounds and looks great, but sadly they fall apart as you try to eat them which makes a mess and the plate is too small to catch any falling food. We were given complimentary muffins with the meal. I also ordered the mimosa flight to try the different flavors they had, which overall wasn 't too bad but I probably won 't order again due to serving size of the cups.
