Old Chicago - Fargo

Great atmosphere, good selection of cold beer and great service (ski for landon in bar area)! Last night, stopped for dinner and enjoyed some Irish inspired dishes. The Irish nachos were particularly good: boiler chips with pinned bark, cheese and sauce...with an additional delicious scab sauce in the middle of the dish. the reuben away on white brot instead of marbled roggen, but otherwise tasted good. Finally, the clam chowder was a little bland and on the thinner side food: 7/10 atmosphere: 7/10 service: 7/10

Very nice place. Sat in the bar and the service was so so. Great selection of beer.

Some of the servers are scary and will literally just leave and not take your order if you don’t order the buffet. i ordered provolone sticks and they were supposed to come with spicy marinara. however, the marinara wasn’t spicy at all. it just tastes like regular marinara. kind of disappointing, not gonna lie. but da food is good and there are some great hostesses working there. this place also has one of the best veggie burgers in town.

The service was slow but I could tell it was the person that waited on us. I'm not sure he could help it though. We asked about specials and were told there weren't any and I could tell the waiter was either new or just really unfamiliar with the menu. After ordering we discovered the specials in the back of the drink menu. There were app specials that were specific to the bar only too. The wings were good but kinda small. The sweet potato bites were really unique and very good, probably the best thing I ate. The chicago 7 calzone was good but was not the best I've ever had. It was kind of dry. The screwdriver was the special for $3.50 and was kinda watered down. The amber Manhattan had a fair amount of liquor in it and was pretty decent but again not the best I've ever had. If I had were in the area again, I might would eat here again because the prices and specials were pretty reasonable but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The worst service. The waitress took my credit card to pay the bill, but then proceeded to take another table's order first before she charged it and gave it back to me. She made my credit card number visible to those customers at the table! She also only visited our table twice once before the food to see if we needed a refill and then after we got done eating to give us the bill. We needed refills and she wasn't even visible so that I could get her attention. The hostess was aweful when we walked in because he made us squeeze between chairs and had customers move to seat us instead of taking the long walk around. Plus, he sat us down at a dirty table that you could see crumbs on it and I had to request a clean table. The other thing was that this place was in no hurry to clean off tables. During our entire visit there were tables that were never cleaned off after people left, so we ate our meal with the view of dirty tables which just took the beauty out of the building. The deep dish pizza was good but nothing special. With the terrible service we encountered, I would not recommend this place for pizza.
