Kneipe Food Comfort Food Good Food.. Here with my sexy but inviolable dinning cum. We're related and that's not Alabama. Besides, I think I still have the marriage thing ahead. Somewhere. I've chosen this place, a little fantasy gastro smastro pub because I wanted COMFORT food. And you know what? This was the trick. The cheese pizza was well dared, with a thin style crust very reminded of NY. This is not to say it is in the same league, but for this side of CT, not bad at all. Crispy, cheesy, with a sauce that knew it was room. The Spicy T Rex wings were fantastic, all homemade sauces here people not from a bottle. They were jumbo size, tasteful and crispy crispy. You just wouldn't have been right in the Ranch Dressing. Now the menu could suggest an Italian cuisine, but the sign indicates bar and grill. Why mention that? The eggplant parm was not the greatest of the world. Nothing terrible, but we both agreed that the sauce (different from the pizza) was nothing unusual. She knows her food as well as anyone I've ever been with, even if she's picky and doesn't remain consistent. The eggplant was somewhat too thin for me and as a result, it lost texture and taste in the kitchen. The pasta was just a tade to overcooked for my pleasure, but the chic I was buried with this part. The Burger, the Burger. Found at the end of a very long menu, so I really did not know what to expect was comforting and satisfying. The patty was preformed, could have been a gourmet frozen version, but was cooked for perfection. The cheese was melted with three slices of crispy bacon in a bakery fresh brioche beans. What can you ask for more? The rings, eh, probably frozen and not worth mentioning. The server was up, fast, attentive, friendly and not bad on the eyes; at least my eyes. The sum of everything? I WOULD, go back to pizza, I WILL, go back for the wings (they have a separate menu that should tell you something). I'd get a burger as long as I'm here. And as with pasta dresses, I would skip the Marinara and go for Mac and cheese or Alfredo.
Just like 'Nana'. It is small, on Everett Square and the least likely place you would expect to find such a hidden gem or diamond in the rough. Don't believe what you've read. RUN to 8/10 Grille. The pizza 's are crispy and amazing and every dish is made as your grandmother puts it in front of you. Trust your instincts and go easy and then write your own review. No kidding. Come on!
A Nice Place. I really like this place!!! They have the BEST PASTRAMI I have ever tasted, NEVER FATTY , always melts in your mouth!!!! Try there Rueben, yummy.
Friday nights out. I think this is a great place. My friends and I go here for our girls night out on a Friday night. The pizza is the best. Just as good as the pizza in the north end. The atmosphere is wonderful. With the lights and the Italian music, it feels so warm and homey just like Christmas eve only all of the time. The service is awesome, the staff greets and treats us as if they have known us for years. The bar is a classy, tasteful place to be. I have adopted this as my new place to kick back, relax and enjoy great food, good drinks and nice company.
