Went here with a family and ordered the pancakes and a hot chocolate & coffee. Pancakes came out and were not hot and certainly not fresh! One bite out of mine and they were hard and stale. Seemed like maybe out of a packet or just sitting around I'm not really sure? Mums pancakes were a bit better so ate some of hers. Mums coffee was okay but my hot chocolate almost burnt my mouth wow! Not that much flavour in it either. After hearing such good reviews from other people I left very unimpressed and won't be back.

I am disappointed to say that our recent visit to this cafe was a disaster. Despite having a good experience in the past, this time was a complete mess. Our group of 11 customers were the only ones there, with most of us just wanting coffee and some cake. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to handle our simple orders. Many of us found our coffee to be lukewarm, even after requesting it to be reheated. One member of our group was initially charged $21.00 for French toast and coffee, only to be corrected to $11.00 later on. There were multiple instances of forgotten orders and staff members using their fingers to tally up the bill. Additionally, I was surprised when asked if I wanted change back when I paid. Unfortunately, I do not see this cafe lasting unless they undergo some serious staff training. I gave them one star for at least turning on the outside heaters. This is my 20th review on Trip Advisor, and it is the only negative one. However, honesty is important in reviews.

Its a little out of the way but well worth it. Coffee was great. I had Bacon & eggs and they were cooked to my liking and my partner had scrambled eggs & salmon (with loads of salmon). The owner Mel was so freindly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend breakfast or lunch here

This used to be a wonderful, quaint little cafe with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I don't know when it changed to "The Wharf Courtyard" but bring back Ferry Road Cafe. The "slap it down" service was bad enough but I believe if you're going to run a cafe, at least learn to make coffee properly.
