Restaurant bewertenFirst time in Pizzeria Via Napoli and it’s a wonderful experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. I highly recommend this place.
Overall, good experience and good food. The pizza was really delicious. However, not the case for pasta. And it was warm inside and AC was not effective enough during a summer lunch time.
I recently dined at Pizza Via Napoli, and while the experience had its ups and downs, it left me with mixed feelings. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the spaghetti e polpette, which proved to be a delicious choice. The lamb meatballs in particular were the stars of the dish. However, not all dishes lived up to our expectations. We decided to try the pescatore pasta, grilled calamari, and margherita pizza, and unfortunately, they fell short of personal standards. The two pescatore dishes we ordered had an odd and sour taste, which was rather disappointing. To make matters worse, one of the dishes was supposed to include clams, but they were mysteriously absent. The other dish had clams, but a staggering 80% of them remained tightly closed, which was quite off-putting. Moving on to the pizza, it was decent but not exceptional. While the overall flavor was acceptable, the cheese lacked the richness and depth that one would hope for in a truly satisfying pizza. It left us longing for a more flavorful and robust cheese topping. Finally, the grilled calamari left much to be desired. Not only was the portion size disappointingly small for the price, but the taste and texture were also underwhelming.
Items ordered:Margherita pizzaVesuvius pizzaRadicchio and mele saladDough is amazing, light, super thin and expertly cooked. Sauce tastes like tomatoes from Italy and nothing else. Not smothered in cheese but just the right balance. Quite likely the best pizza I’ve had outside of Italy, and better even than many of those had in Italy.A note about the radicchio salad it didn’t have much radicchio and was mostly arugula, although arugula is not mentioned in the menu description. I like arugula so I didn’t mind, but it might be disappointing for someone who doesn’t like arugula.
Authentic caesar salad with anchovies-real napoli way!!! very homey and cozy. Risottos were very nice. Already visited twice : There’s a pizza oven inside the restaurant that adds the cozy atmosphere.
