Cute Cakes Bakery Cafe - Escondido

I don't even know where to begin with this review! Cute Cakes is more than just a bakery for special occasions. They offer amazing breakfast, lunch, and the most incredible drinks on Grand Ave. When I first moved here, I was disappointed to only find them when searching for a delicious breakfast spot or a BLT on Google. But after trying their food, I realized that they have become my favorite place to eat in Escondido for everything sweet and affordable. Thank you to Cute Cakes for always being amazing, clean, and delicious every time!

My partner and I recently moved to Escondido and decided to spend the evening exploring the city. We stumbled upon Cute Cakes and were delighted by the friendly staff. We decided to stay for happy hour and were not disappointed! We ordered a meat and cheese board, as well as beer and apple wine, and everything was delicious. The staff was fun and attentive, and we are excited to come back for their Sunday brunch.

Cute Cakes is amazing! Their cakes are not only beautiful, but they are also incredibly tasty. We loved them so much that we couldn't pick just one flavor for our wedding cake - we had to go with three! Our guests all raved about how delicious it was. I highly recommend Cute Cakes!

The cupcakes at this restaurant look incredibly delicious! I called ahead to place my order but immediately felt a negative vibe. The lady who answered the phone tried to convince me to just place my order inside since I would have to come in anyway, but I was trying to save time. I ordered vegan cupcakes. When I arrived, the place appeared clean and smelled amazing, but the staff seemed to be in a bad mood. They didn't greet me or ask any questions as I looked at their options. It felt like I wasn't even a customer. I ordered a dozen custom cupcakes but also wanted to buy a displayed cupcake for my 3-year-old daughter. The cashier made me wait a long time before getting it for me. When she finally brought out my complete order, she simply pointed to it and said, "There's your order." The lack of enthusiasm she showed compared to when serving an older white gentleman was disappointing. The poor customer service made me feel uncomfortable and I don't plan on returning. It seemed like a hit or miss experience, and I couldn't understand the variables that determined it. I felt like I was not treated well despite not being rude, especially since I had to grab the cashier's attention during a slow hour.

For Belle's 19th birthday, we decided to order the red velvet cupcake at the restaurant, and it did not disappoint! The carrot cupcake was also amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to celebrate.
