Restaurant bewertenIt's my Birthday today, my Husband and my Daughter made reservations for us to have dinner here. I was absolutely blown away. It's such a Beautiful place. We sat out on the top balcony, with a view of the sunset. We didn't get to see the Sunset Tonight. Too cloudy. I'm looking forward to another time to see the Sun set, maybe on a Sunday when they have Live Music. Go to their website to see who's playing. Thanks to everyone who took care of us, which was exceptional.I'll be back, real soon!
Came here on a date with my boyfriend and was kinda mindblown a place exists like this in SD. The ambience and view was immaculate. The food was actually really good too! Not the best but definitely hit the spot. We loved the bread appetizer, but the pesto pasta was the star of the show, the lasagna was not bad though! The wine was probably the weakest thing for me. I ordered the mixed white red wine flight and the reds definitely tasted better imo. We also ordered a sangria to share at the end as dessert and it was decent! Next time I would probably just a glass of a red instead of a flight.
This was our final stop on the Highland Valley Wine Road. The grounds are beautiful and the view into the valley is even better. You check in with the hostess and then order your drinks/food at a counter. I got the wine flight which came with 5 tasters and a wine glass to take home! I enjoyed with the 5 that I got, they went especially well with the cheese board! The board came with 2 cheeses, salami, craisins, and bruschetta. For $22 we wish there was a little more, but everything on the board was great. There was live music- beautiful acoustic guitar player (he was great) sunshine, and a great view. Really relaxing vibe on a Sunday late afternoon!
The place was pretty busy, lots of families and fairly worn patio furniture so not a date night spot. The nice hostess lead us to our table gave us some paper plates and told us to go order at the bar. We had the pasta with Alfredo Sauce, Angel hair pasta with a light tomato garlic sauce and tried the fried ravioli appetizer. Ordered 2 Caesar side Salads that were generous in portion and decent in taste. The view is great but it is a long way to go for the fair food and marginal service. Will I be back? Probably not. Would I encourage you to drive out there another no. But that said, lots of folks seems to be their and smiling.
Right this way. With a slight smile, she spun around, leaving us to trail behind in the wake of her brown hair. As we ventured into Cordiano Winery, a beautiful landscape opened before us. A massive patio perched on the edge of a spectacular valley. It felt like a scene torn from a Tuscan film. Laughter floated through the spring air and glasses clinked at a nearby table. We loved Cordiano for the view and, surprisingly, for their homemade pizza. The Stagioni pizza came loaded with artichoke hearts, proscuitto, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes on a perfectly wood-fired crust. Their breadsticks were also incredible. They were thick, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with a delicious marinara sauce. To be perfectly honest, the wine at this winery was the weak spot. Of the wines we sampled, the sangria was our favorite. It was fruit-forward and freshly-made. We also tried a local red that was not good and a savignon blanc from the Bay Area that was only ok. Hopefully this improves in future visits, as we 'd love for the wines to be as wonderful as the pizza.Overall, we 'd recommend the sangria and pizza as highlights of this incredibly scenic winery.
