Restaurant bewerten8 of us had dinner before Christmas and it was great to go back to the pub after kovid. the beer is still icey cold, eating above average and the new grand standing terrace is fabulous in a warm summer night.
We booked two weeks in advance. when we booked, we cried and made us very clear that we were a group of nine seventeen years and eighteen years old. they said that was completely in order as long as we were sitting outside. when we arrived, they refused to enter, as there were no elders who had a rule that they had only changed. they would've notified us before we left that way. the woman who told us we couldn't walk in was rude and ignored what we had to say.
In this pub a lot of time, but in the last two places food bookings can only be made online. that's good, but it doesn't always work. can't talk to someone about the phone to make sure everyone is sorted. many nice places around the opposite and they will fortunately ensure that their table booking is sorted - it is disappointing and uncomfortable and we will not go down this way again.
We have chased ourselves into the grand after we said we would try it for age groups. it was certainly not disappointed! we sat immediately and the menu is not huge, which is a pleasant change. with the usual pub-grub and some extra bits and piece. as a big group we had the following: chicken parmas baked salmon veal carved Tuscan meatballs calamari jalapeno poppers a few kinder dishes the portions were huge and everything tasted amazing! is the only confusing thing, is to separate with the main menu and then the kiosk (share plates). we wanted the stock item but start, they were ready to collect after our net. would be useful if the various articles could arrive to ask. otherwise we will definitely visit again.
Fantastic pub with many nooks to sit with friends. Outdoor area with fire pit was also very attractive but a little too cold for a cold winter day. Great news: dogs welcomed in that area! And the meals were equally impressive, from a range if...share dishes through to pub classics and specials. We couldn't fault the parma! The accompanying chips were morrish! Worth a day trip out to this great place. Be sure to spent some time wandering the strip, inc the lolly and gingerbread shops.
