You can tell you will get good hearty food when the local law eats here too. Many of the patrons of this small family run diner are locals who are warmly greeted outsiders are also welcome. The food is fresh cooked Latin, very tasty and good sized portions. A daily special is a big attraction, especially fish tacos on Friday. Good service, though since everything is fresh cooked, it may be a bit slow. Careful that you come to the right address there was another Country Corner in the center of Ellijay no longer in business
Best piggy cubano sandwich I've had since I was stationed in Havanna in the 80's with the CIA. The taste of this one really takes me back to the good ol'days of eat lunch, go attempt to start street protests then and then back to eat dinner.
It was good and cheap. The Cuban breakfast didn't have Cuban bread. It was more like French bread and we had to send it back to be flattened in the hot iron. But the ambiance and food was good. The service was excellent.
We really enjoyed our meal at Tony's Country Kitchen. We were staying in Mineral Wells and some family was staying in Ellijay and we met up for dinner. Not knowing the area, I took to Yelp to find a place to meet up for dinner, and we landed on Tony's because of their great reviews. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and we all left full and happy.
