Restaurant bewertenIf you are looking for atmosphere, comfortable or upscale surroundings then just keep going. If you are looking for quaint, unique and basic great food then slam on the brakes when you hit this intersection. Burgers, fries, onion rings and milkshakes were all very good. A loaded cheeseburger is one of the best I've had in Canada. Worth a stop and worth a drive from Fernie, Cranbrook or any place else.
It is almost required by law (or kids, same thing really) that you have to stop on any trip to the south country. Of course you must get ice cream but the food is good too. Be prepared as sometimes line ups can be a little bit long but so worth it.
Stopped here late in evening hoping it would be okay. was pleasantly surprised. good burgers. ice cream seemed to be the specialty. i would go back regularly if i didnt live 2500 miles away.
Great food in a place with no other choices. They could make bad food and people would still be happy to eat it. But this is not bad food. It's very good. Yes, it is kind of expensive but given the location and that you either just crossed or are about to cross an international border, I think it was fair priced.
It's a great spot to stop after a long road ride, for deep fried pickles and a shake. The ice cream is what draws me there, good selection. Whenever I drive by in the summer there is always a lineup so they must be doing something right (or very wrong, cuz how hard can it be to fry up some frozen burgers on a grill?) THE picnic tables outside under the trees offers a bit of respite from the sun and you can't beat the location!
