Black Bear Diner - Elk Grove

Eduardo was so attentive and all the servers always asks if we needed a refill for coffee. ‘Twas our first time and we’ll be back for sure, first impressions lasts. My steaks was done perfectly, flavorful dishes, and of course one of the most important for me is the portioning which made me happy. My 6 year old enjoyed all of her food, happy while eating. They give fun activities for kids which is very helpful. A little delay from the kitchen which is understandable at that time, and hey! The food was great! who cares about the delay after all.

Wonderful place. I was not feeling well and as a result, not that friendly. The waitress tried to read me and did her best! She was patient and helped me through my order from finding the menu (It was right in front of me), to keeping our drinks filled up to going the extra mile for these 2 picky kids, to taking time out to make sure we were good, and we had our boxes, and so on. She really locked it down!! Food: So much food, per plate! On point on point on point! Hot, fresh, and delicious!!

Great coffee shop type restaurant . Good size portions. I had a patty melt. Good flavor. Rye bread with swiss cheese. Restaurants don't always the rye bread. Service was excellent. Kept coming back filling water attending to requests. Grandaughter had a birthday and waiter brought her a dish of 3 scoops of ice cream! My husband had the turkey super bird and it included ham and it was bigger than Denny's. So he was happy. My son's bacon burger was gone quickly so I guess that was a yes he liked it. All around thumbs up!

Great location, good foods, and good services. I enjoyed dining at this location.

Can’t go wrong with a Black Bear Diner. This location is always super packed on weekends for a good reason but they make their to go orders fast and on the time they say they will be ready. Would be nice to have designated to go parking, their lot is way too small for how popular they are. I felt like I was shopping at the mall on Christmas Eve with having to circle the lot several times and then follow someone out to their car as they were leave.
