La Higuera De Abuela - El Hierro

One of the few places in El Hierro where staff knows what vegan means and they have vegan options or can easily convert dishes to vegan. The biggest advantage of this restaurant is its beautiful patio where you can eat surrounded by plants. It’s recommended to make a reservation. Regarding the food, it was ok, sautéed mushrooms with garlic (dish adapted to vegan), fresh fruit salad, papas con mojo (potatoes with 2 sauces), and homemade falafel with vegetables and soya sauces (they serve it with yogurt sauce). Unfortunately they didn’t have plant milk, maybe if more people ask for it they will include it in their options as you can buy it in the majority of supermarkets in the island.

Very nice site. It's very hot inside. The exterior is beautiful. The dishes are very rich and with quality. The staff is very friendly and concerned. The best the merengon.
