Restaurant bewertenWith 12 beers on tap and a refrigerator from several others, it is not easy to choose just one! I'm not really beer drinker, but the bartender recommended to try it and it was pretty good. The biggest disappointment was that we had expected to order sandwiches for lunch, just to say that their kitchen was closed. During our time there we have warm pretzel bites, and it sounds as if they only serve on Tuesday and Friday. Otherwise, it is a clean, friendly place to take a drink and buy some to take home.
Going to have to say it was wonderful having the place to ourselves for a lovey experience. Highly recommend the War Beard, Chai of the Tiger, and Apple Brandy Ridiculous. -also homemade Root Beer is very tasty.
Fantastic experience, atmosphere, and service. It's not often that I find a place that I enjoy every beer and that is the case here. James is a fantastic server, attentive and present and he's done a remarkable job. I will be coming back.
If you didn't know this brewery was here, you'd drive right by it and miss out on a nice experience. The Walnut River Brewing Company is probably most well known for its Irish Red Warbeard. It's a reddish-dark copper colored with a slight toffee caramel flavor. Their Warbeard is listed in the top 50 Irish Red Ales on RateBeer.com, and is a leader in distribution around the tri-state area. A co worker of mine had many Warbeards before, and insisted I make the 4 hour trek with him. I'm glad I did. Unfortunately I was so distracted with drinking my beer, I neglected to take a pic of it. Maybe next time around. Great place to stop. Don't forget to pick up a Warbeard shirt!
I've never been to the brewery, but I just want to say thank you to Walnut River for her Irish Red Warbeard! It is really one of my favorite beers on any market! Easy, thanks!
