Restaurant bewertenOur accommodation advised that they would meet here to give us the key and we stayed for dinner! Then the next night came back. The food was very tasty and generous portions, the waiting staff very helpful, and then the buskers came and entertain with traditional folk music from Northern Argentina! What was not to enjoy over our evenings here.
This is an unexpectedly good dinner for me and my friend. We had already tried 2 top restaurants from the recommendation of Lonely Planet and overhauled this restaurant. I came to Patagonia Rebelde because I wanted to try a patagonia lamb dish. The rating is not among the best, but OMG, it was my best meal in El Chalten. I ordered Cordera al disco (a kind of traditional Lammeintopf) and it was so good. Very crispy skin and delicate meat. I'm usually quite sensitive to the gamous smell of the lamb, but this dish is completely fine for me. My friend was a little sick so she got a simple chicken and rice, it was also very good.
Super friendly staff, good food and delicious wine on the glass. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere, but service was prompt. Good value too.
We wanted to try to spit roasted lamb while we were in Patagonia, and that was the place we choose to do it and we are so glad that we did it! All the food here was great the lamb, the salad, the appetizers they gave us, the wine, etc. They also had live music at the night we went what was great. That was one of the best meals we had in Patagonia and I would recommend it to everyone.
We wandered into Patagonia Rebelde our first night in El Chalten and were met by a friendly and charming owner. The restaurant decor was very eclectic and interesting- provided a lot of local history. The staff was attentive. The menu was diverse and extensive. The bottle of local wine was divine- at their recommendation. We shared an appetizer, an entree, and a salad and every single dish was mind blowingly delicious. El disco was out of this world- the combination of the white wine reduction with the juices from the lamb and vegetables were amazing- never enjoyed vegetables so much. The lamb in the el disco and the grilled lamb were so tender and tasty. The steak was equally tender. It was probably the most amazing meal my friends and I have shared in our travels though Argentina and ranks in the very top of the best meals I have ever had. A true gem!
