Peet's Coffee - El Cerrito C

The staff were just phoning it in this morning with no thought about customer service. I ordered a pound of decaf and with that I get a free coffee. The server saw me sitting and waiting on the other side of the restaurant where there was a chair available to sit. It wasn’t busy and he could see I was still waiting. Supposedly they called out the products were ready and set them down where the barista was but that was on the other side. I didn’t hear anything.Would it have killed him to say maam your items are waiting for you.?When I did pick them up my free coffee wasn’t there.I know workers in general try to do a good job and they work hard. But a little attention to the customer would be nice.

This place is nice to hang out in for a while for work and such. There are issues with homeless people coming inside, almost always leaving a mess. It's not often.I have seen police step in and take them out, though, if it comes down to it. So, take into account that there will be action if necessary! (Unlike many other places who are struggling to deal with the homeless problem!

The gal that waited on me was super! Fantastic customer service.

I'm in here daily. Staff is friendly. Can be a bit crowded and busy depending on time of day. Has a lot more room than Solano or Fourth Street.

There is no line when i drop to buy coffee so its fast the store is also.
