Restaurant bewertenWas not already a past, so it checked in the morning. at the arrival I could see that the business grows well, with some diners enjoying the brekkie even at the beginning 06:46 clock. approached the counter, this nice chewed croissant tried to give me a way. he asked for a simple croissant with jam and butter to go with a flat white. croissant came first, which deserved my thumb by visual assessment. my feeling of dizziness proved to be true that the texture was stratified. next came the coffee with strength weaker than I expected. previous rating: 3.5/5 sep 2021; 3/5 January 2020; 4/5 mar 2019; 4/5 aug 2018
Oh, dear imco I wish I had taken the time to read their review about the coffee here! Not only that the service was far from a pleasant experience, even a smile would have been good, but it just didn't happen. the coffee was just like imco’s (lower review of a cup frit) not only that if they call it a coffee doughnut shop, maybe the coffee should taste like coffee. I ordered the double shot medium to take away that they only took away on the road) the coffee was far from strong had an acidic taste. Maybe they should stay with the donuts!
Charles Baker Donuts&Coffee is a small cafe joint to the Glen Hotel. The coffee shop begins trading at 5:30am, serving up breakfast staples, doughnuts and espressos. Their menu illustrates a variety of appetising breakfast choices, but I decided to try out their special today, which was the Bacon, Egg, Cheese and Tomato Relish on Brioche Roll. For my caffeine hit, I ordered a Flat White Coffee: As I took off the lid, I could not justify the beverage being a coffee'. There was no golden brown tint, it was just pure white froth. The coffee consisted very faint flavours nearly to the point where I couldn't taste anything but steamed milk Food: The brioche bun was served slightly...read more

For my caffeine hit, I ordered a Flat White. Coffee: As I took off the lid, I could not justify the beverage being a 'coffee'. There was no golden brown tint, it was just pure white froth. The coffee consisted very faint flavours nearly to the point where I couldn't taste anything but steamed milk. Food: The brioche bun was served slightly crispy on the outside and soft inside. Tomato relish was enjoyable as it added a nice tang to the roll. The bacon was dry and a tad overcooked. The cheese was melted and had somewhat hardened on the fried egg when presented to me. I did end up purchasing a doughnut with chocolate filling, hoping it would improve my breakfast experience. Unfortunately, the whole doughnut was overly sweet for my palate (it would be nice if the doughnuts were served fresh with the melted chocolate filling, instead of it being cold and dry - in my opinion) Customer service was alright but could be improved.
