Restaurant bewertenHow steak? then she was?! this place has the biggest steaks I have ever met. full chopper boards full of red flesh. all the services are really nice. calamari is good to begin. but save space as they will be full in the braut. the full T-bone looks like a **** in the half!
AMAZING! This is such a fantastic place, having grown up in Africa when seeing this place I felt i was at home, the steaks not to mention hunter gold beer and Windhoek Larger, I felt so happy. Like I was being taken back in time. The layout and feel of the place is lovely, never too busy and a nice family or date night to go to... on the pricey side but so worth it if you love meat and Africa, somewhere i chose everytime to celebrate on a special occasion!
My friend and I made her a birthday. before him, he recommend shabeen. After last year (and in love) was South Africa, I am always looking for somewhere or something to take me back. shebeen has not disappointed that the staff were nice and friendly. no print on order. we started with a few (important) castle camps, in person there is nothing worse than a cramped imitation camp, so this meets the place. I warned that I shouldn't start with two if you were really hungry, but I'm so glad we didn't. the oh went for the rump steak, lion size, this steak was bigger than my face! it came on a wooden board...read more
Oh, my God! I must roll out the door of shebeen to write this review. the first time here. heard complained about it, but never went in until now. so my man had the one-pot (I really can't write or speak out their dishes, so I won't try). I had the steak. it comes in 2 sizes; cheetah (small) and lion (big). my God! I don't feel like a cheetah right now. more like a crowded slot. it is certainly a big steak. All right. even the monkey-drum sauce recommended with the steak (no monkeys were injured in the production of my dinner). yummy! I'm sure I'm coming back because I got my eye on the ribs the next table next to me ordered.
Colombian citrus tomaten shebeen restaurant, edinburgh Wednesday, 16 June 2014 a table for 9 was booked and we were somewhat disappointed that we had to give our order 24 hours in advance. in real food club fashion we examined the menu and made our choice. then we played the waiting game we climbed the colorful stairs and entered the African themed room and took our seats, preparation on a meat with extravaganza. how tradition, the evening began with some refreshments. ice cold windhoek camp was served and very enjoyed the waitress confirmed our preorder and unfortunately there was a mistake – lamb instead of bark meat and as it was preordered...read more
