Restaurant bewertenWhilst my car was being serviced at the nearby garage my 4 year old son and I came here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ordered fish and chips , which were cooked fresh in front of us. The chips were excellent and not frozen (take note Nandos)
Decided to try The Newbridge Inn ad had heard very good reports about the food we live locally. We couldn’t find anywhere to park easily as the car park was full surrounding roads too turns out the workers at nearby ‘car village’ leave their cars here all day. The Inn should try do something about this. The place was quiet only a few others there but we received a warm welcome from the barmaid who was very chatty friendly. The food itself was ok nothing special. I had fish chips, which was good. Nice light batter huge amount of chips which I couldn’t finish. Husband had the Balmoral chicken, which also came with a huge serving of chips but (disappointingly) frozen veg. Would have expected fresh. Reasonably priced so will probably go back try again.
First time in for food, quality of food was really good, good portions too, and reasonable price, really nice staff, and friendly atmosphere too, only went in because of seeing a sign for them doing take away, and thought we'd give it a try, and glad we did, definitely be back at some point
Food was cooked fresh, served hot, just like mums home cooking. It was quiet but still an enjoyable evening.
Nice family visit on Christmas Eve. I’ve given 4 stars based on the food which was excellent, and the senior waitress working hard by herself running the busy bar and trying to serve a large table, our table and a couple of smaller ones. They were understaffed for Christmas Eve and service was slow because of it but the food made up for it. Great bar food and probably a really good local for a couple of pints!
