Restaurant bewertenMy wife and I had a lovely meal in Maison Breuer recently. The food was very tasty and the service was first class indeed. Particularly Leyla who went over board to make us very welcome. We will definitely be back.
Went here with my wife to celebrate our 3-year 'proposal ' anniversary. Food was excellent, we had the surprise calamari and camembert fondue followed by the ox cheeks and brochette. All washed down with a few glasses of red. Staff were helpful and friendly and loved the decor too!
Under the government's eat out to help out scheme, myself and a few friends dined at Maison Bleue Le Bistrot. We had looked at the menu online and had seen good reviews, but we were EXTREMELY disappointed. We ordered the ox cheeks and the bouillabaisse. The ox cheeks sounded delicious on the menu but what came were two small slabs of beef on top of a puddle of lukewarm gravy. It was similar to Bisto gravy. The bouillabaisse was alright but really nothing special at all. I would've been VERY angry to pay full price for these dishes. Extremely tiny portions and an exorbitant meal. I would strongly avoid this place. Also, the service was really slow. We had to ask 3 times for salt and pepper (to provide some sort of seasoning for the underseasoned food). Nobody asked us how our meal was midway so we couldn't really comment on anything. It took around 45 minutes for our food to arrive and it wasn't even hot. The food arrived lukewarm. Again, do avoid this place.
I am not impressed with this restaurant, it is overpriced for what it offers! To start with the early dinner men wasn’t available (although we went before 7 pm) or wasn’t offered to us, the quality of the food was ok but nothing exceptional. With my friend we had the wild mushroom soup, which was a bit blunt and something I can prepare better at home. Then I had the beef cheeks. Again they were ok but the mashed potatoes were very blunt and lacking of taste! The ginger panacotta was probably the best thing from what we had ordered. I am also not impressed at the banging of the cutlery and dishes on the worktop right behind my friend. A more quiet atmosphere would be more suited. Otherwise it is like a fast food! The Italian wine was good. But overall a disappointing experience and although I live locally I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends.
We enjoyed our meal at this little bistrot in the morningside area . The starters and main courses had a good choice of seafood , and were well cooked and tasty . I particularly enjoyed the seafood tagine which had a nice spicy twist. Good value meal recommended
